Cang Levi

The Artistic Idol of Creativity

Cang is a Male Desert Elf with yellowish-brown skin, golden eyes, and midnight hair tied back in a tight ponytail. He is often depicted wearing loose, yet cumbersome clothing of whites, golds, and blacks. The Artistic Idol Himself is often represented in statues and busts of family and competition. Most of the statues made involve Cang's likeness being held in one of the hands of the focal subject as to allow the statue or bust to look over the artist to protect them. His mount is recognized as being a Vello Clockwork Steed.

Dogma

Cang is an incredibly ambitious and competitive Idol. His need to create what He believes to be "perfect" can be surmised as almost impossible. But to an Idol, it is merely a goal. Cang had actually bestowed upon those that worship Him the ability to create Vellos; a construct of paper that holds spells as a means of staying alive, but once the magic is extinguished within the Vello will crumble away. He is also the representative Idol for any Elven athletes.

Gaining Favor or Redemption

Worshippers of Cang have found that it is easiest to gain favor with Him through adding His symbol to their works of art. It is also noted that saying a prayer to Him after an artistic revelation will provide His dedication to any projects at hand. However, losing favor with Cang is something unforgivable to Him. Betrayal of the family, of allies, or of yourself will lead to the scorn of Cang. Redemption can be found through branding your body with His symbol where it is visible to show your shame for the failures you have committed, but you will no longer be treated with love, but with a bewildered annoyance.

Interactions with the World

Cang provides bursts of creative inspiration to His worshippers. This is something that has inspired great works of art, innovations, and political movements. Cang does have other activities He performs on Omedei, but they are mainly considered pranks. For instance, He is the reason why the eyes on paintings move to watch you, or if He is feeling particularly mischievous, He will change the positions on statues to menacing poses as if they are following you.
