The Human Race is one of the many species that dot the surface of Omeath. They are the most populace sapient species on the surface of Omeath, particularly Amracet. Originating from the continent of Amracet, they have since spread throughout their original continent and lands beyond. Starting in tribal societies with a history of nomadic traditions, they began to realize the benefits of sedentary living and founded great civilizations. Long lived cities and abandoned ruins can be found carved and built by human hands. Although they are originally from the contienent of Amracet, they crossed the Strait of Sardimosa long ago into the lands of Czerelan. Humans are highly adaptable, skilled, and ambitious. Although their lives are not as long as the Dwarves or Elves, they seek to do just as much, or even more. Humans can be found nearly anywhere in the known world and in a wide variety of occupations and skillsets.
Many of the kingdoms and lands that are found in the world today are ruled by humans. The Empire of Veret, The Rindran Empire, and Veliky Farwind are some of said lands. But these three vary differently from each other being found in different terrain with their own cultures. Even being found on different continents.
The Human Race was orignally spawned by the goddess Almara, Lifebringer and Sunmother in partnership with the god of rivers, Umri. This pair of gods spawned the humans through a love affair that lasted for a century. However, when Umri witnessed the creatures upon the world, he sought to drown them in a great flood. He was stopped by Almara before he could wipe out humanity. He was cast out and thrown into the ocean. Surviving the wrath of their father, Almara bestowed them a gift. They were blessed to venture forth beyond the rivers they called home. They would soon grow to build vast civilizations, their cleverness and ingenuity helped them build to last. Ruins of ancient human societies can still be found today if you look hard enough. From their home upon the rivers of Amracet, they would venture forward to settle surrounding lands and spread to the wide breadth of the world of Omeath. Mages have even opened gates to other dimensions, bringing brave settlers to lands foreign to their plane of existance. An instilled wish for adventure pushes the Human Race further into the unknown, but as they venture forward they often encounter trouble.
The breadth of human history is rich with conflict, as the history of other races is as well. However, the old Human wars with the Dwarves and Orcs is documented by the historians of each race. The old human settlers of Farwind pushed the Dwarves into the very sea, never to be seen again. The settlers of Oracesis fought the Orcs who lived there to near extinction. Not to mention the wild folk and beast men who lived in the forgotten reaches of Czerelan. Even on their home continent, humanity was not the only inhabitant. Numerous wars with the Tabaxi of the south and even kingdoms in the seas. Humanity has found and sought conflict wherever it travels. Despite their vast history of conflict, they also have a beautifully rich history of arts and culture. Innovators, creators, and mages also thrive in human society and history, pushing the world forward.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Their bodies are covered in hair that can range in a variety of colors between dark browns, bright blondes, reddish tones, and deep black. The tone of their flesh also has the same breadth of variety, ranging in numerous shades of a mix of brown and pink. Their feet and hands have five apendages that they use to manipulate the enviroment and materials around them. At the sides of their head are two rounded ears.
The Levanian Codex "Ambulatio et Loqui" went into detail about the various species that roam the lands of Czerelan and beyond. This book has come under fire for numerous reasons. Progressing an ancient agenda of cruelty and conquest, as well as forming stereotypes for the people they encountered and conquered. However, it still offers some knowledge and the Levanians invented the term "Humanoid" meaning, like human. The term humanoid refers to those who stand upright, with two arms and two legs.

Genetics and Reproduction

Humans are a mammalian humanoid species that reproduces sexually. When a human baby is concieved, they grow inside the abdomen of the pregnant human. They take around 9 months and go throughy several stages as they change from an embryo into a fetus, eventually being born as a small human baby.
When mating with other species, such as Elves or Orcs. The gestation time can change, applying strain to the pregnant human. Elves take a much longer time to gestate, so the added time may be tiring to the human, while orcs gestate quicker being a shorter process, but more stressful or uncomfortable.

Growth Rate & Stages

Humans are considered adults by their own species around the age of 18 to 20. Humans Begin their lives are newborn babes, growly quickly year by year until becoming a child. Later in childhood, the young human goes through puberty, a long change that propels them into adulthood. Their minds are fully developed around the age of 25. Healthy humans can live for little less than a century, living up to 80 or 90. Some have been found to reach 100 years or above naturally. Others with more arcane means have extended their lives longer beyond a single century, going into several centuries.

Ecology and Habitats

The most optimal enviroment for humanity is land with plenty of vegetation and fresh water. Their settlements are often found along rivers, lakes, or with deep wells. They originated from lush and fertile river valleys millenia ago and to this day still find themselves gathering around these similar bodies of water. Humans can live in places that are more extreme, such as barren deserts or freezing tundras. However, they need to account for some considerable adaptations, clever preperations, and a touch of luck.

Dietary Needs and Habits

In the ancient times before writing and known history, known as Amintiri Pierdute, humanity got its food and resources by hunting and gathering. Since then, they have settled in massive settlements and humble villages all over the world. Their main form of acquiring food is agriculture, growing and farming their own food in the form of stable crops and trained animals. When it comes to keeping food, there are many ways found among the groups o humans for storing and keeping food. Some foods have a greater shelf life and are stored in silos or granaries. Others with a shorter shelf life are heavilyt salted, preserved, or consumed seasonally.
