Hascanian Empire
Structure
At the top of Hascanian hierarchy are the wealthy. Unlike the kingdoms of Czerelan, where power is often dictated by landownership, or a title bestowed by your rulers. Hascanian aristocracy is instead filled by those who have great personal wealth. While owning land can assist you with your financial ventures, the largest occupation of Hascanian aristocracy include those who are traders, merchants, and explorers. The aristocracy runs the Haskanian Senate, however holding a seat in senate is a symbol of great power and comes with no salary. Those who run for senate and hold seats within the senate must fund it from their personal investments and riches. Indeed, an individual who can take advantage of the market or can find a valuable post for a trading colony can become powerful men in Haskanian society.
The senate holds 200 seats and is led by three of the richest people in the empire. Those who hold offices in senate are often the highest of the aristocracy. The rest are often not as powerful but still have great sway in their own right with other positions of power. They hold positions as leaders of guilds, commanders in the military, and colonial governors.
They rule over the citizenry of the empire. Artisans, Landowners, Soldiers, Laborers and more who are included amongst the free men of Haskania, able to own what they create and reap what they sow. These folk have the possibility of reaching the level of the aristocracy. Able to make money they can acquire the funds to keep themselves afloat in the senate if they can take advantage of the markets. Beneath them are the slaves and those who do not hold citizenship.
Public Agenda
The public agenda of The Hascanian Empire is to increase their wealth, power, and influence over lands abroad. With much of their territory in Amracet, their seat of power rests in the prosperous city of Hasca. The coastal city is considered one of the richest in the Material World, and the Haskanians wish to spread their trade networks like a web over wherever they land. With plenty of territory in southern Czerelan, they have a stranglehold on several trade routes.
Assets
With Haskat being home to an incredible dockyard, their navy is more than impressive. A fleet of 530 ships to protect the colonies, their trade routes, and the homeland. While they are host to a citizen military of 6,000, it is widely outmatched by their wide army of mercenaries from the many regions they control. On top of their military, they also have a series of naval and land forts throughout their territory and their trade networks bring in plenty of money accumulating roughly 5,400,000 gold pieces.
One of their prized units is known as the Kahser Marines. Specially trained for ship combat and landing invasions, the Kahser Marines are lightly armored shock troops of the Haskanian Navy. Often used during high priority missions or invasions. Often wearing leather or light chain, these marines are excellent swimmers and beach stormers.They wield small naval shields, the other hand using axes, sabres, and javelins. The charge up beaches and board vessels often getting fire support from nearby ships. When taking a seaside port, they often act as the occupying defenders.
