Legenden om Evig Liv

(Norweigian) The Legend of Eternal Life

The bright eyes of a young male Gnome pierce the shadowed grounds of the Báisaisling Foraois. A small patch of crisp air around the figure fills with tiny bursts of warm mist. The mist's life brought to a quick end as the surroundings drain it of moisture. An invisible presense continues to grow with each of the man's steps as it slowly dominates the unseen features of the woods. The slight crunch of petite footprints in the snow are the only evidence of his passing. Yet the man continues to trudge forth seemingly propelled by a hidden pressure that is neither malevolent nor benevolent in nature.   His pace grows from walk to a jog to a sprint until being thrown across the threshold of a grove of great mishapen trees. The pressure breaks. The man's consciousness returns to his own mind. Exhausted he stumbles forward crawling over layer of layer of thick grey roots.   "Alien beauty - a perfect inspiration for new tales" thinks the man. Frozen furlined leather boots sink into cold mud as he staggers toward a lapis pool and drinks the sweet water deeply.   Sated he reaches into his pack for paper, an inkpot, and his favourite feather quill. Slowly, methodically, he begins to write...   Time passes though the author does not notice. Lost in their work, each word painstakenly forged as an unknown tale unveils itself to the scritch scratch of ink onto page after page.
