Shadowsteel
an ominous ingot or ore of violet hue; Iron infused withdark energy. Some see it as a curse, spoiled product. But those in the know see it's true value. Holding the aura of darkness within it-weapons made from it are especially effective against holy/light creatures, and armour resistant to dark magic. while it may sound similar, it is not to be confused with Darksteel.

History & Usage
Discovery
it was dicovered by citizens of Kynthorpe as they obseved the corrupting effect of dark magic upon thier homeland and in their mines. Simple Iron ore was the only metal that survived. But it had been.......changed.
Refinement
must be melted down and refined-usually using a blacksmiths forge.
Manufacturing & Products
Usually weapons and armour are made using this due to the rarity of it. However some are forced to use it for more mundane items out of necessity.
Byproducts & Sideproducts
like most metals, it leaves behind slag when melted down.
Reusability & Recycling
Items made from it can be melted down and reforged into something else.
Distribution
Trade & Market
The people of Kynthorpe and a few neighbouring mining towns are the sole distrubutors in the region. The item is exotic and sought after, espeicially by adventurers.
Weapons and armour made from this cost from 75-11ogp more than standard.
Armour: Gives the wearer resistance to darkness and necrotic damage (1/2, or 1/4 if already resistant, and so on), but eversion to radiant damage (x2, x4 if already weak to, and so on)
Weapons: counts as a +2 magic weapon when used against angels, seraphim, and other light/holy creatures, but deals only half damage to demons, feinds, vampires, Heartless , and other dark/shadow creatures.
