Saint Tyrus
Once a saint of protection and hope, Tyrus is now an entity of mixed opinions. He once stood as the champion of driving back the forces of darkness and night, all while holding aloft a blazing torch of hope and divinity; now most of his original churches are leveled and his scriptures burned to ash. In the age following the departure of the gods, Tyrus eventually grew a following separate from the Prime Pantheon, and grew to form a separate church, dedicated to beings and celestials separate, but similar to those of the Caelan, Intran and Baatan tribes.
Despite his actions and general dislike among members of the Prime Pantheon's followers, a small number of clerics still revere him and preach his gospels. Such people go out of their way to aid others and show that, despite his excommunication, they are still able to channel holy magic through him. In a way, he lives on through them.
This article focusses on his teachings and time as a Saint. See "The Lord" under the Council of Immortals for his current incarnation.

Holidays
Lionhart: Taking place on the 11th of Mallan, "Saint Tyrus' Day" has largely become consumed by the Empire of Galt as it's day of founding, referred to as Lionhart within it's borders. Traditionally, it was used as a day to celebrate the sentinels and guardians of one's home, often allowing them a day of respite. Alternatively, it was used as a general holiday promoting peace and giving. All of these aspects are much different as Lionhart.
Physical Description
Identifying Characteristics
The remaining depictions of pre-Galtan Tyrus usually show him as a well-built human man. His skin is either tanned by the sun or naturally dark, his hair is usually braided or held in rows, and a solid plate-shaped halo frames the back of his head, making his radiant eyes pop against his dark and shadowed face.
He is occasionally shown wielding a solar mace, but much more frequently shown with a large shield carved to resemble the sun.
Mental characteristics
Intellectual Characteristics
Tales about Tyrus usually paint him as neither a particularly wise nor a particularly idiotic saint. Detractors often downplay him as a fool, but many surviving myths show him granted a modicum of wisdom to others.
Morality & Philosophy
Saint Tyrus's morals are those of selflessness and protection. He promoted ideals of using oneself to safeguard the weak and attack those who corrupt or oppress the weak. While his remaining followers still hold many of these standards, many others point to these "beliefs" as the prime example of the very codes Tyrus made, then broke.

Virtues & Personality perks
Those who follow the teachings or beliefs of Saint Tyrus for long enough are able to gain his personal boon in the form of his feat. Only a few dozen across the whole of Genaeth hold this feat, as his clergy is all but non-existant in the modern day. Those who have proved worthy gain the following traits.
Solar Beacon: Tyrus's ties to the light of day become clear with you. You can cast the spell *Daylight* a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, without expending a spell slot. In addition, once per day you can cast either *Crusader's Mantle* or *Blinding Smite*, also without using a spell slot.
Bulwark of Faith: Defending those around you from harm becomes second nature. When you end your turn within 5 feet of an ally, you can make all melee attacks against them have disadvantage. Should an attack hit, you can use a reaction to make the attack hit you instead.
Social
Contacts & Relations
Saint Magnar: The relationship between Magnar and Tyrus is one of a broken relationship that likely will never heal. The actions taken by Tyrus created a large gap between him and his saint-brother, a rift that has largely extended to their clergy in the centuries since then. While his betrayal of Arsator is an obvious reason, many speculate there is a deeper reason for Magnar's hatred for Tyrus, perhaps one that has been wiped from history in an attempt to keep it buried.
Saint Nuallo: Compared to Magnar, Nuallo is far less hostile towards Tyrus. His clergy still work with what remains of Tyrus's on occasion, and don't avoid them with the vitriolic spite that members of Magnar's clergy do. However, there is still a distance, and no-one can recall when Nuallo and Tyrus last spoke, if they did at all before he left Arsator behind.
