Manjistha's body is covered in marks and brands from previous slavers and hunters, all of whom Manjistha hunted down and repaid in full. She remains in very good physical shape, always ready for a fight at any moment.

Personal history
Manjistha was the only living survivor of the Barvadekar Massacre, an even tin which the Galactic Commonwealth carried out cleansing on a small world, Ikerol, to kill all members of the accursed Barvadekar Line, feared for their infamous Null Eyes. Manjistha alone survived, saved by her older brother Ravi who hid her under his body.
Manjistha escaped Ikerol by hiding away on a pirate ship, once in deep space, she tried to kill the Captain of the vessel but was unsuccessful and nearly died herself. They reached the Outer Worlds where Manjistha was sold to a series of rich Slavers one after the other, each time escaping, being caught, beat, and re-sold. However, when she was 14 she escaped from her current slavers and found her way into the middle of an operation led by The Hand, the biggest Crime Syndicate in the Galaxy.
Manjistha proved useful to the operation and was recruited by the Hand, welcomed into their criminal embrace. She was taken into the Mountain Clan and trained by Niwa Dai. Manjistha proudly served the Hand and became one of their favored operatives, allowed to act autonomously.
The only blemish on her record was that of her secret affair with an Imperial Scienctist, a man named Gaji Upalekar.
Education
Manjistha was trained in the art of Sorcery by Niwa Dai, having already mastered combat from her many escape attempts from Slavers and Pirates. With her Null Eyes, Manjistha developed a style that sought to make the enemy as powerless as she can make them before going in for the kill. This overwhelming domination and ruthlessness was a result of Manjistha having to fend for herself for most of her life, at the mercy of complete strangers. She was a monster in battle and many favored death than to go toe-to-toe with her.
Employment
Manjistha was one of the Hand's more trusted operatives and as a result was allowed to operate largely on her own, leading her own crew of pirates on missions and excursions for the Hand. When not doing their work, Manjistha largely operated as a pirate, raiding Imperial and Commonwealth ships, adventuring across the galaxy, and buying and selling on the black market in people, items, goods, and services. She had many trusted connections in the criminal world and was notorious.
Mental Trauma
Manjistha still has night terrors about the night her family died, the fire, the screams, her brother protecting her with his own corpse, it is still very fresh in her mind and makes sleeping very difficult for her.

Motivation
Manjistha is motivated by one thing and one thing only; to live her life proudly in honor of her slain family. She was the last of the Barvadekars and made a vow to carry on her lineage no matter what. That would be her ultimate revenge on her enemies, to live and carry on her family, a living monument to their failures.

History
Gaji was already an Imperial Researcher by the time he met Manjistha Barvadekar, a woman who was an upcoming notorious pirate within the ranks of the Hand, and a declared enemy of the Commonwealth. Manjistha ended up on an undercover mission within the Empire and is how she met Gaji, who became enamored with her beauty. When her cover was blown, Gaji aided in her escape and they understood they could never see each other again. Years later, Gaji learned his union with Manjistha resulted in a child, one whom Gaji was unable to meet before he was killed, something he always regretted.
