Avlinn Currency

The official currency within the Avlinn states is the Avlinn crown1 (or crowns, commonly). The currency uses eight banknotes and four coins, known as pennies2. A fifth coin has been removed from circulation, but is still accepted throughout the nation. Crowns are currently the third most traded currency on the continent. It is managed by the Avlinn government.

Coins

Each coin varies slightly in size, but all are round and made of a steel-copper or steel-silver compound, depending upon the value. They're a quarter of a centimeter thick on the edges, with the smallest coin being a centimeter wide and the largest being two and a half centimeters wide. On each reverse side, one side displays the current value of the coin in large numerical value on the center with the written version curved on the bottom side. The country motto is written above it. The obverse side varies on year made and coin value.

1 penny
The smallest of all the coins, the singular penny is a commonly used coin. No other amount can equal it, but it can equal every other one.
2 penny
The 2 penny has since been discontinued, but there are still some in circulation. There are two singular penny's in 2p.
5 penny
5p is made up of five singular pennies, and two-point-five 2p.
10 penny
10p is made up of two 5p, five 2p, or ten 1p. It is the most widely distributed penny, with most sold items ending in a denomination of ten.
50 penny
While still in circulation, the 50p has become increasingly rare in its use. It is made up of five 10p, ten 5p, twenty-five 2p, or fifty 1p.

Banknotes

Every banknote is roughly 13 cm long and 7 cm wide. They're all made with a cotton paper blend, dyed a light blue color. Unlike other bills, Avlinn states are designed to be viewed with the length being the longest and all designs vertically aligned with it. On the reverse side, the numerical value of the currency is displayed at the bottom right, with the country name printed at the top border and the written name of the currency at the bottom. Behind the numerical value is an outlined shape framing the portrait of differing individuals. The obverse has the numerical value printed at the bottom left and top right, with the written value next to that. In between this is a depiction of varying famous pieces of architecture.
