Hommlet

Hommlet is a hamlet about 25 leagues to the southeast of Verbobonc City. Hommlet owes fealty to the Viscounty of Verbobonc.   

Notable Persons

Hommlet is home to the retired adventurers Rufus and Burne. Rufus and Burne participated in the battle of Emridy Meadows in the year 569 CY. Ostler Gundigoot is the most recognizable face in Hommlet for travelers and those that like the drink. Ostler is the owner of the Inn of the Welcome Wench.  

Religions

The town of Hommlet mainly worships either St. Cuthbert or the Old Faith / Obad-hai. There is a temple to St. Cuthbert in town along with a grove dedicated to Obad-hai.

Human (79%), halfling 7%, elf 5%, gnome 4%, dwarf 3%, half-elf 1%, half-orc 1%.

Government

Mayor Renton is technically the elected official of Hommlet, but the more notable people of Hommlet form together to make a council when making decisions for the town. This council includes the mayor, the commanders of the militia, Ostler, the chief cleric of St. Cuthbert, and Jaroo Ashstaff.

Defences

While no walls surround Hommlet, Hommlet is defended by a militia that amounts to over a third of the population. The militia is commanded by Rufus and Burne. Rufus and Burne live in a defendable tower and as of 579 CY have been constructing a keep inside the village. A few miles from town is a moathouse that is currently being used as the base of operations for An Adventuring Guild.

Geography

Located in the South-Eastern region of the Viscounty of Verbobonc, Hommlet is nestled between the Kron Hills and the Gnarley Forest. Due to its location between the Wild Coast and Verbobonc City, Hommlet receives a lot of traffic from traders and travelers.
