North Namdan Plain
The Lowlands of Namda
Covering the east of Aventarle, northwest of Kritmorc and all of Imcri, the lowlands that make up the North Namdan Plain stretch all the way from the northern coast of the Great Ocean to the Northern Sea and the Tossing. The plains are bordered by the Wareroy Mountains to the west and Kirsan Mountain range to the south.
Before the corruption of Utreas by Darkness, the North Namdan Plain used to be connected to the West Namdan Plain, which now only consists of the smallest sliver of land. The divide between the two regions has had a major impact on migrating animals, and its lasting effect is still unclear.
The central mixed and broadleaf forests know many different trees such as brich, oak, linden, maple and ash with local species of each. Butterwort, cranberry and bogbean are common in the east, while ferns, horsetails, bramble, bluebell, aster and viola characterise the west. Here too wolves can be found, and where the plains touch the mountains bears. They hunt elk, deer and boar, beaver and otter, especilly to the east where the landscaped is marked by many lakes, bogs and mires.
