Tales from Beyond

"Tales from Beyond" is a collection of diaries written by gnomish explorer Tinna Bengin, former member of the Ponthas council and plane expert. In the company of Leanh Zuul, an elf scholar from Durnfall (City), Tinna traveled across the planes, helping Leanh fill the gaps in Durnfall's records, making many friends and enemies on the way. After finishing their documentation of the outer planes, Leanh Zuul returned to Durnfall to be granted the rank of a high scholar. The whereabouts of Tinna Bengin are unknown to this day.
Critics claim that many of Tinna's stories are fictional. Many of the chapters are written in a good style of very vivid prose. This is contrary to the tradition of descriptive scholarly note-taking, resulting in Bengin's work being considered unscientific. Bengin was not as much a scholar as she was an adventurer, and so she documented the events as tales of suspense. Reprints of the diaries are primarily sold as young-adult literature, being especially popullar with younger girls who want to go out to adventure themselves one day.
After the return of Leanh Zuul, the elf vouched for the authenticity of the accounts, convincing Dimitris Livna, the Keeper of Worlds, and making him her most famous supporter. Tinna and the Keeper have never met in person, however.
