Commander Yorick Greenbark
A well known elven commander, currently not working in the field due to injury. For the moment he is over seeing the Dursalca Adventurers Guild, approx. 300 adventurers and 80 experienced/retired warriors who act as mentors. The majority of his military recruits have come up through the Guild, as he did himself as a young man.
Mental characteristics
Well respected both in the Occatora Army and the Dursalca Adventurers Guild. Many who went through the Guild at the same time as him regard him as a friend, and have over the years offered him and his family seats at events all across the country. His wife and daughter sometimes attend these, but he has not gone in many decades.
Many current members of the guild have never heard him speak, as a lot can be said in the manner in which he cocks an eyebrow.
Being from a higher class family in the city of Dursalca, Yorik attended classes at the Dursalca Academy for reading, writing, basic maths, basic alchemy and fountations of magic.
Whilst not being a spellcaster, the basic knowledge of how spells are formed has aided him in his career.
Yorik has worked for the Dursalca Adventurers Guild his entire life. His grandfather was one of the founding members, so since he was able to walk and talk he has been running errands.
As soon as he was old enough to actually enroll, he did so, and followed his fathers up the ladder of guild levels until he was able to transfer to the Occatora Army - in which he further excelled and rose through the ranks. He is content being a commander, and being in charge of a number of soliders, whilst still being given orders himself.
Social
Yorik met his wife whilst out on a task for the Dursalca Adventurers Guild. His group had been sent to rid a temple of an evil entity who had decided to possess a priestess, and once the job was finished they were invited to stay an extra evening to recover.
On that evening, he went out for a walk and saw her releasing a deer in the woods on the outskirts of town. A breif conversation under the stars began a decade of communication via letter.
They met occasionally, depending on how often Yorik could collect a job from that region.
In a letter, she let slip that her father had decided that she must marry and had selected her a groom - the eldest son of a lord, in a town on the east coast of Occatora. Yorik insisted that she make a trip up to Dursalca for him to see her one last time, and she hasn't left the city since.
They have been married for centuries at this point, and have a number of children. Larissa being the eldest, and following in her fathers footsteps the closest.
