Vernon Turner
Vernon is a main character in Oblivion 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Backstory:
Vernon was born 2595 AS in the Eastern town of Hanrad the nearest town beyond the western boarder. From the onset, Vernon hated it; after the fall of the East, life was hard for the people that lay in the wastelands of the east.
Finally at the age of fourteen, Vernon ran away from his home, in the hopes of finding a better life in the west. Armed with nothing but a knife and a compass, Vernon began his trek westwards, and immediately ran into problems. At first he ran into a colony of Spiderlings, only managing to escape after being discovered by a squad of Imperial Rangers. Then, after refusing there offer of an escort to the Imperial boarder, he almost died of thirst in the wilderness.
Eventually, Vernon managed to reach the southern most tip of the mountain range that divided east from west. Where he came into contact with members of The Iron Company. These men proved even worse than the Spiderlings. With them
he saved the life of the thirty year old Ian Wolfrick, (Alan's Grand-farther). After this he was offered a position at Wolfrick Manor. Given the choice between a comfortable life or a life of uncertainty, young Vernon accepted the position.

Personality:
Vernon is generally polite and respectful, although there are multiple instances where his military background causes him to lash out and lose his temper. He has admitted that he is unsure about how to raise the Wolfrick family. However, he is genuinely concerned for family's well-being and is loyal to his young charges above anything else. He is an unwavering ally and an implacable foe.

History
Apart from his close family, Alan has known Vernon for the longest time. However for the first few years the relationship wasn't a good one, as Vernon constantly advised Gerrard Wolfrick to send Alan away, due to the latter constant trouble. All this changed when Alan became the head of the Wolfrick family, and Vernon slowly grew to respect the youngster, despite his worst qualities still being there. Until Vernon became Alan's closest advisor and confidant.
