Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Tall for an Elf, well built from years of training and conditioning as a swordsman, his stride is measured and purposeful.
Body Features
After his years of training in the Elven infantry, much of his skin is well tanned for one of the Illasil, though not nearly as much as the natural complexion of the Sylasil.
Facial Features
His mouth is a thin line that tends to frown when at rest. His golden-yellow eyes are perpetually squinted from long years serving on the border plains, giving the impression that they are glaring out from under his heavy brows. A short, neatly trimmed beard frames his mouth and chin.

Personal history
He began his career as a patrol leader on the western border and quickly found himself as the regional commander for his ability to lead his troops through difficult times as well as his intense commitment to personal excellence and physical conditioning, which is credited for his troops being assessed with the highest readiness rate of any of the border garrisons. During the First Fires Assault, his affinity for Light Magic distinguished him further in both bringing the Light to bear against the invading demon forces and also in the recovery of the troops under his command after battle, allowing them to field more frequently and consistently at full strength. When the Order began training and assembling the Paladin companies as a response to the First Fires, he was among the first volunteers. Many of his men were quick to follow his example and they became the core of the Paladin forces during the early days of the organization. After the Betrayal, he was appointed Paladin-General and head of the military wing of the Order of the Light. He is among the most respected of the officers who survived the Betrayal.

He has devoted his life to the Order of the Light, rising through the ranks quickly. He can see himself in no other role than as head of the Paladins, both as a commander and a mentor.

Holding the position of Paladin-General, Andareal is second in command of the Order of the Light. Though that places him in the military wing of Order, he makes a point to emphasis that force of arms is not the only means to provide for the well being of his people. He believes that a connection to the Light does not come simply from action in the name of the Light, but also in a careful understanding of what the Light's will actually is. He attempts to cultivate this understanding in his followers and companions whenever possible.
Social Aptitude
Polite and courteous in most company, but stiff and curt with those he does not respect. He approaches most interactions with patient slowness, sometimes appearing ponderous. When in command, he is a powerful presence that imposes itself on all nearby but in other settings he is much more reserved.

He speaks slowly, with a deep, rumbling voice. He often pauses to choose his words carefully. He is usually soft-spoken, but when he raises his voice, he can command the room's attention easily.
