Sonorus Character in Nymrii | World Anvil

Sonorus

Sonorus is believed to have sung the world of Nymrii into existence. He has been worshiped in several forms, through many cultures across the ages of the world, as a creator-deity, or a Father-god. Wars have been fought over the minutia of these forms, and the forms of worship offered to him. In some ways he resembles the Abrahmic deity, and there are certainly parallels in the division of his sects.   Sonorus is father/brother to Thenaris, who is said to have been created at the time when mortal beings came into existence. It is believed that he wept at their creation, and from his tears of joy and love, Thenaris sprang.   Manifestations of Sonorus in flesh are almost unheard of, but he is depicted as a man of great age, but physical perfection. His voice the resonant echo of the birth of the whole world. These depictions vary according to the culture of his worshipers, who generally imagine him as resembling a perfect embodiment of their own race.
