Wildwander Wagon Two

The next wagon in the marching order is that owned by Abalaba and Anverth Wildwander, along with Anverth's apprentice, Nim. They are dedicated to the protection of the Wildwanders. Their sales items are largely armor, both leather and metal. They are always on the lookout for materials for armor creation and repair. Nim is the frontman for this wagon and is always seeking mithral, dragon scale, adamantium, and rare hides. The wagon is pulled by two large gnome dogs, Thaba and Abver, accompanied by Nim's dungeondog, Floodle.   Abalaba Wildwander is the caring, protective mother-type of the caravan. Despite her high intelligence, she is humble and doesn't look down upon those with less intelligence than she. Abalaba is helpful to everyone and patiently explains anything and everything to those that seek to know. Often, Abalaba acts as the caravan judge as she listens to all sides of an argument before deciding which is the right course of action or pronouncing judgement. Constantly working on self improvement, Abalaba listens to any wise folk she comes across and incorporates their teachings if that will benefit her. Currently, Abalaba is trying to overcome her seemingly subconscious preference for complicated solutions to simple problems. Her life's work is the creation of a series of tomes on the subject of protective spells and armor enhancements. Abalaba travels with a giant tortoise familiar, Slought. Often is is covered in some new experimental leather armor, spell sigils, or a clockwork doodad that aids in Sloght's defense.   Anverth Wildwander is the caravan armorer. Meticulous in his work, his armor is highly regarded and sought after in certain circles. His own armor is a thing of beauty, protecting him from all sorts of damage, enhancing his strength and speed, and firing beams of light that injure his enemies from a gem set within the embossed scrollwork of its breastplate. So much effort does Anverth put into his work, that his pride often gets the better of him. When someone says they haven't heard of Anverth, his jaw nearly hits the ground in shock. He is horribly jealous of anyone that can outshine his work. There are times that he becomes paranoid that he is surrounded by rivals. In addition, he is quickly angered by any instituted bar to personal freedom. He will happily run off to free slaves or convince serfs to become independent contractors. Constantly taking things apart or asking people about their motivations, Anverth always seeks to learn more about what makes things (and people) tick. More than anything, Anverth looks to find the destroyers of the Gnomish University and to plot his revenge.   Nim, as Anverth's apprentice, has learned enough tinkering to create clockwork toys for adults and children alike. His armor is less intricate that Anverth's but still made to his very high standard. For more about Nim see Namfoodle Ningel aka Nim.
