Namfoodle Ningel aka Nim

The forest gnome Illusionist, Gimble, and the forest gnome Druid, Duramil Ningel, are the parents of Namfoodle. As a youngster, the boy acquired the nickname of Nim and it stuck. Nim always found it easy to make friends and loves being around people. At forty years old, Nim went out to explore the world as so many young gnomes do. Nim soon found himself in the city of Imlachton. He quickly ran out of money and fell in with a group of street urchins. Nim learned to pick pockets and locks, as well as other skills. As his lot improved, Nim developed a love for the finest food and drink. A few coins a day would not be enough to support his guilty pleasures. One night, Nim was caught sneaking out of a tavern by a large human barbarian. Nim tried to talk his way out of trouble, but to no avail. The barbarian told Nim that the only way he was going free was by joining the human's adventuring party. Nim decided to join but was startled when the barbarian then asked for his purse back as well! The nerve! The adventurers were very lucky to return to Imlachton alive and enriched. Still, Nim had expensive tastes and more gold was always a good thing. And so it was that Nim became aware of a rich dupe who liked to talk about how much wealth he had. Nim considered that to be an invitation to relieve the man of some of what troubled him so. Nim followed the man home and cased the joint. He arrived at a plan. Walking around the corner of the mansion, Nim nearly fell over a human hiding in the same bushes! This man claimed to be a XRB Master with an eye on the same prize! The Master told Nim to join the thieves guild or to leave town. Nim replied "I will think about it." And he did, for about thirty seconds. That night, Nim entered the mansion, only to find that the Master had betrayed Nim to the home owner! The Master got a large reward and Nim got jail. The judge convicted Nim and sentenced him to three years hard labor. Gimble and Duramil heard about Nim's situation and bailed (bribed) him out, using all that they had! Destitute, Nim's younger siblings became quite hostile to him. Frustrated by the embarrassment and poverty brought about by the situation, his parents sent Nim to his sister, Siffress, where he could learn a trade and stay out of trouble. That is the story of Nim's joining of the Wildwander Caravan. Nim has learned to tinker and smith armor, making a modest living. Still, Nim is determined to pay back his parents, with interest, and a large score would go a long way to returning to his family's good graces.       The illusionist Gimble and the Druid Duramil Ningle have 12 children.
