Cadence
Cadence is a Gearforged member of the community of Axiom.
Cadence was recovered from the Mekanos Infinitum in 283 PF. The circumstances of her recovery and reactivation were traumatic and particularly formative. She was recovered from a region that seemed to be a repository of gearforged parts. However those who recovered and reactived Cadence triggered a security system that resulted in the death of many gearforged rangers and the sealing away of this region of the Mekanos Infinitum.
Cadence was profoundly impacted by these circumstances and devoted herself to the Axiom Rangers when she resestablished herself.
Cadence is a revered member from the community of axiom and regularly spends her time devoted to expeditions into the Mekanos Infinitum. She tends to look at the city like a scientist looks at a specimen, seeing Novus itself as an extension of the Mekanos Infinitum.
For this reason, she advocates for gearforged separatism and isolationism, prefering to dedicate resources to the search and recovery of gearforged (and more personally understanding of the Mekanos Infinitum.)
Relationships
History
Cadence and Lyric were both reactivated in the same expedition to the Mekanos infinitum. Though the circumstance of their reactivation were perilous, the two held close to each other, even calling themselves sisters.
The relationship was strained when Cadence began to pressure Lyric into using her gifts to help her explore and understand the Mekanos Infinitum. Lyric was always afraid of these depths, while Cadence was drawn towards understanding them. Cadence resented Lyric's latent gifts and her apparent squandering of them on artistic pursuits.
As Lyric is now and Adamantine Wayfinder, the two have not spoken in some time.
