For 1 round, instantly activate another Crimson Composition of equal rarity or lower than the current active one. Afterwards, dispel the effects of one of the Compositions of your choice.
Learn how to paint using a new type of ink. Whenever you inflict the Bleed status on an enemy, gain 1 Ink per stack inflicted over the first. Your sword also automatically becomes Inked immediately after inflicting the status.
You also unlock a new resource known as Stroke Count (SC), which starts at 0 after a Long Rest and increases by 1 whenever you execute an Inked skill. Stroke Count is used for the creation of Crimson Compositions, which can drastically alter the shape and effect of the battlefield. Once you create Crimson Composition, reset your SC to 0.
Crimson Compositions consist of weather types of different rarities, ranging from the mundane to the impossible. A few examples are listed as follows:
Basic: Fair skies, Light Sun, Light Rain
Uncommon: Blizzard, Thunderstorm, Heatwave
Rare: Tornado, Earthquake, Ashfall, Locust Swarm, Razorhail
Legendary: Meteor Storm, Ether Surge, Tsunami, Radioactive Fallout
Exotic: Thrymmotic Overload, Unstable Spacetime, Gamma Ray Burst
Mythic: Rift Breach, Realm Collision, Judgment Day
Sanctified: Heat Death, Reality Collapse, Vacuum Decay
Painting most types of weather requires you to have spent a short rest studying the weather event currently taking place– though the knowledge required for the more esoteric types of weather can be discovered in the wild. Once you paint a Crimson Composition, it lasts for 3 rounds.
You may also create a Crimson Composition of a landscape you have visited previously, such as a grassy plain or a glacier. Doing so requires you to spend 1 entire turn painting, and consumes an amount of ink depending on how esoteric the envisioned landscape is. Both weather and landscape types that you have painted before can be saved in your Portfolio, allowing you to use them in future Crimson Compositions.
[SC 1]: Paint the landscape into something from the everyday. You may change the weather within a 100 foot radius to a basic type in your portfolio.
Whenever you land a critical hit with your sword, inflict 1 stack of Bleed equivalent to half the damage roll for 1 round.
Ink Reserves II: You may land a critical hit on yourself with your sword, inflicting 1 stack of Bleed equivalent to half the damage roll for 2 rounds. If you lose at least 20% of your max HP to Bleed in one round, gain 1 Ink.
You may consume a movement action instead of one of your Attacks in your Regal Artist techniques.
[SC 2]: Paint the landscape into something you don’t see every day. You may change the weather within a 100 foot radius to an uncommon type in your portfolio.
Upon inking your sword, all attacks for the rest of the turn are considered Inked. If you inflict Bleed with an Inked sword, gain 1 additional Ink.
Upon inflicting Bleed on an enemy, your next Regal Artist technique costs only 1 Attack instead of 2.
[SC 4]: Paint the landscape into something seldom seen. You may change the weather within a 100 foot radius to a rare type in your portfolio.
After performing an attack and rolling damage, you may expend an additional remaining attack, making a second attack guaranteed to land but having its damage roll at disadvantage.
If Inked, this attack counts for 2 SC instead of 1, and the second attack’s damage is no longer rolled at disadvantage.
Guiding Lines: Spend 1 turn visualizing the scale and positioning of your next brushstrokes. Next turn, all your sword attacks have -5 CRR.
When you paint a Crimson Composition, halve the current Stroke Count afterwards instead of setting it to 0.
[SC 7]: Paint the landscape into something extraordinary. You may change the weather within a 100 foot radius to a legendary type in your portfolio.
A successful Parry using your sword inflicts 1 stack of Bleed on your assailant equivalent to your weapon's damage roll, lasting 1 round.
[SC 11]: Paint the landscape into something that boggles the mind. You may change the weather within a 100 foot radius to an exotic type in your portfolio.
If a combatant is KO’ed due to Bleed damage, gain 1d4+2 SC.
If your SC meets or exceeds the SC required for the current active Crimson Composition, gain a boost to ATK depending on the Composition’s rarity: Basic = 2%, Uncommon = 5%, Rare = 10%, Legendary = 15%, Exotic = 20%, Mythic = 40%, Sanctified = 70%.
[SC 16]: Paint the landscape into something truly impossible. You may change the weather within a 100 foot radius to a mythic type in your portfolio.
As a free action, remove all stacks of Bleed from all enemies. Doing so grants you SC equivalent to half the total stacks.
Whenever you or an ally takes damage from Bleed, gain 1 SC at a 1d4 chance.
[SC 24]: Paint the landscape into something that would finally make Estellar proud. You may change the weather within a 100 foot radius to a sanctified type in your portfolio.
Your Crimson Compositions have double the radius, and last for up to 24 hours.
