Stricord's Scar

The Scar that Changed Notta

After Stricord betrayed the Gods of Notta and its people, the darkness spread. The stars became dormant in this shadowy space, growing every day. Eventually, the scar covered all the world except for Runic Towers and Twilight Citadel. This land was a dangerous space for all who traveled through it, whether attacked by monsters and clerics alike, or caught in the quakes that shook the land.

Monsters Swarm

by AuthorChase on HeroForge
The magic that surrounded Stricord's Scar summoned many monsters and beasts. Even ruined War Clerics roamed the scar, hypnotized by the Goddess's power. Monsters such as flaming minotaurs, cerburus, and hydras were monsters that elevated from the darkness itself. The darkness from the scar poisoned the wildlife, transforming them into beasts that were no longer recognizable from their previous forms. No one escaped from this tragic event.

The Earth Quakes

by AuthorChase on HeroForge
Even with the transformations and monsters appearing, the scar still had one more trait that was common. Earthquakes rattled the ground, making it harder to traverse through. The ground transformed after each quake, bringing new obstacles each time. Sometimes, the scar would shift back to its original state for a time before the upheaval began again. It was a life-sized puzzle to any traveler, and most succumbed to the shadows before they made it to a protected civilization.

A Hidden Chamber

There was a legend of a hidden chamber somewhere along the scar. An underground labyrinth existed, which could be traversed with the power of light. No one had ever found this place, but the runic Naga said it could save Notta. There was a power hidden deep within the labyrinth. Only those that wished to see Notta prosper could succeed. However, there were no souls that could succeed.
