"Half-price cabbages, buy one get a rotten one free!"
"Potatoes, full-price potatoes!"
The sing-song cry of the market traders brings you around and you find yourself slumped in the corner of a busy market. Shoppers stroll by ignoring you and the enormous dog sitting over you. The shaggy-haired dog licks your face and you get a strong whiff of coal that makes you long for a cosy fire and a comfy chair.
"Carrots, buy two get two!"
The dog is the size of a pony and as it goes to lick your face again you get a look at the tag dangling from its thick collar, 'Sparky'. Using Sparky for support you clamber to your feet and have a good stretch. A garland of flowers hangs around your neck and your left pocket is full of sausages. You offer one to Sparky and the dog wolfs it down.
As you walk through the market you munch on a sausage and try and remember what happened after you left the golden temple. Whatever it was it must have been some party because your head feels like it was put on backwards and your ears are still ringing. Sparky nabs the half-eaten sausage from your hand and runs off through the market. You give chase and are soon lost in the forest of stalls.
