The School of Navigation

This is the only academic institution dedicated to the navigational arts.   People from all over the continent come to learn here.
Not surprisingly, most of the students are from Atonia.  The second-largest contingent is from Habuda
Each year 100 students are accepted.   The program is about a year long.   The time is not always consistent because part of the education is sailing from Cliford to Obnas in Lalinia and back in the winter months.  The students are the complete crew of the ship, the faculty does not join them.

History

The School was started in 3118, almost 300 years ago.
The annual student voage to Obnas in Laliana has sometimes lead to disaster.  In 3399, 3396, and 3390 the ship was lost with all hands.

Without navigators the world is disconnected
