Jerun

Jerun, Prince of the Gods

***This article is an incomplete placeholder to be expanded on later***
Jerun, also known as the God of the Tide and the Oceanlord, was the first son of Artur and Elanaah's union. Born from a water birth in what would be known as Jerun's split, the god always had a natural affiliation with water. He spent most of his life on or below the oceans of the world as he mastered his control over them. He has remained one of the most active gods, regularly blessing or damning sailors or fisherman as he pleases.

Appearance and Depictions

Jerun bears the appearance of a muscular human with tanned skin. He has short, dark brown hair and a beard that he shapes out of ever-rolling sea foam. He wears a crown of corals that he fashioned himself, along with a long sheer skirt to cover his lower half. He wields a silver trident that was forged for him by Deign. Emblems depicting his worship will often portray a horse rearing above the waves, designed in white and blue colors. Artworks depicting him will often show him surveying over the oceans, standing tall with his trident. A popular piece shows him playing with Rufio, as the weather and the waves clash.

Powers and Followers

Jerun has full power and mastery over water. He can manipulate it as he sees fit on any size, including entire oceans. He works hand in hand with Rufio to manage storms and the creation or branching of new rivers. He wields a trident forged by Deign, the Oceansplitter, that projects lances of searing air that can instantly turn surrounding water to steam.
Followers of Jerun are primarily found amongst sailors, fisherman, and merchants who travel by sea. Anyone who will frequently found themselves on or doing business via the rivers or oceans will often offer Jerun their prayers in hopes for a safe journey.
