Great Curator

A title given to the de facto ruler of the Citystate of Min-min. The title hasn't always been synonymous with ruling the City, but rather was an honorary title given to the headmaster of the Academy. But when the council of Min-Min got destroyed by Alexander during a diplomatic visit to Baan the only surviving member of the council was the Great Curator Faustino. Faustino made sure to never reform the old council but rather styled himself almost as a King of the City. At his death at the age of 94 the Käse had not sired any children and with that the new headmaster of the Min-Min academy became the Great Curator and thus the ruler of Min-Min. During that time the new council of Curators was formed, but ultimately all power to this day emanates from the Great Curator who is chosen by the council to lead the city and academy.

Qualifications

The title isn't passed from one person to another, rather extensive test are in place to make sure that the next person in line will be the correct one to rule the city. To be able to even have a chance to be elected by the Council of Curators one must have earned the title of Curator from the Min-Min academy.

Requirements

Beyond just being a Curator you have to have written at least three scientific papers on any subject that has required at least 5 years of study per subject. But beyond that, there are no more hurdles except actually getting chosen by the council.

Duties

The Great Curator, is the absolute ruler of Min-Min, in ages past all decisions of the city was made by the council, but since the title of Great Curator was created the final say of anything that happens within the city is under the purview of the great curator. The duties of the titles demands that one acts like ambassador, diplomat and ruler at the same time.

Responsibilities

The title goes hand in hand with being the headmaster of the Min-Min academy so with the title comes the expectation of being a teacher in at least 3 different subjects at the academy.

Benefits

Being the Great Curator comes with many benefits, such as getting access to the headmasters chambers in at the academy, a room which can only ever be entered by the wielder of this title. And since the entire Min-Min academy is at the disposal of whomever hold the title, all of the hidden knowledge of the deep vaults is available to the headmaster.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

The only way to remove the Great Curator from his or her position of power is for the entire coucil of Curators to vote for dismissal which has never happened in Min-Min's long history. The council is composed of 499 Curators plus the great curator himself (who doesn't get a vote to be removed or not). Which means that 499 people have to vote to have the Great Curator removed from office.
