City-state of Min-Min

The City of Min-Min was founded around the year 18450 following the Star Calendar of the Felya and Avayana, about 8500 years before the rise of Helm. The City has survived countless of wars, catastrophes and challenges in it's long history. But during the last two millennia the city hasn't been part of any major wars that actually threatened them since they have lived peacefully on the precipices of the northern Baanian peninsula. Even though the city has lost much of it's former landholdings the city survives untoched. The first thing travellers notice when they approach Min-Min is the utter lack of outer defences. A simple palisade is all that seem to guard the city from attacks and when asked about it most Min-Min citizen will say that they don't need high walls because no one would dare attack the city. The only thing that is enclosed by any type of embattlement is the Academy of Min-Min which has given the city it's name. The city of Min-Min survives with their lack of farmable land mostly thanks to the Bergars of Zhem who trade food-stocks to the city from their protectorates in order to obtain the knowledge that lies inside the Academy of Min-Min to incorporate it into the Eternal Song (The religion of the Bergars). It's said by the Bergars that if knowledge was food, Min-Min could feed the entire world for 100 years.

Culture

The City of Min-Min is the birthplace of the Pilari culture as it exists today. Founded by some of the first humans to walk on the continent and three clans of Avayana the city has seen it's importance as a cultural heritage site grow stronger with each century that passes. Without Min-Min there would be no Pilari culture and the whole of Pilaz would probably be Zeshen or Käse today. Min-Min is the place where great philosophers are born, a place where divine laws are interpreted, the city where prose, plays and other cultural significant things are created. Without Min-Min the 13 cities wouldn't exist and the Compact of Pilaz would never have been signed by any dignitary.

Public Agenda

From outside the purview of the city, Min-Min seem like any other Pilari City-state, but where other cities fight wars against each other, Min-Min owes it existence due to one thing, knowledge. The public agenda of a city of millions is simple, gather more information, knowledge and material to be able to continue surviving in an increasingly hostile world.

Demography and Population

The majority of the population in Min-Min are Pilari and Ava. The Pilari population is constantly growing, overshadowing any other culture that might lay claim to the city. According to internal census, there are about 1.5 million Pilari living inside Min-Min at any given time. And the Ava population is stagnating but there are still around 250.000 Ava who call Min-Min their home. The rest of the population is around 300.000 with about 30% being Käse.

Religion

Even though the offical city religion is that of the god Helm, most Ava (and many Pilari and Zeshen) worship the moons.

Foreign Relations

Min-Min generally has good relations with ALL countries and factions on the continent. Curators from the academy enjoy free travel anywhere on the continental mainland.
