Order of the Elders

The Order of the Elders is a group of Ilikian sympathisers who believe that people can be trained to not make the worst kinds of mistakes. Not many people know much about them, but some leaks and theories say that they currently help train people to use their powers better.   Many humanoids have come forward to talk about the Order's pushy nature, so the journalist Obadiah Xenakis made an expansive article series recording the experiences of those associated with the group.

Structure

From whisteblowers' sources and people's previous encounters with the Order, the journalist Obadiah Xenakis learned the following information about the Order's leadership structure.

The Senior

The Senior overseas all the Order's activities, and leads it to its next mission. They have the power to change large parts of the organisation if they don't work for either the missions, or the members. The current Senior, Elder Estevan, changed the Order's core agenda because he didn't believe that they should be striving for "perfection".   The Senior can apparently excommunicate members, although they rarely ever do. The Committee needs to be involved to come to such a decision.

The Advisors

The Advisors are a council of Elders who discuss the next missions and how they'll carry them out. These people are often the face of the organisation, as they carry out their missions themselves. Advisors make sure that members of the Order are happy and moralised, so there's little chance of a mutiny.   Members of the Order usually choose who sits in the Council by casting votes. The candidates with the highest votes are placed on a type of rota for the current year, and ten people sit on the Council for the current term.   Each member is usually there for one term, and they get swapped via the rota. That's why it's hard to figure out exactly who is part of the Order, because they are swapped before whistleblowers and journalists can investigate anything.

Public Agenda

The Order believes that mistakes can ruin people's lives. Their original goal was to train people to not make mistakes, and that was what they did when they were on Quadrilore. However, Elder Estevan apparantly changed the mission when he became leader to make it more achievable and in line with his own philosophy.   Elder Estevan wants people to "do better", and he had this goal when he was on Quadrilore. He is known to push people extremely hard so they don't make the worst mistakes. However, as opposition grew, he taught these people to defend themselves and the Order, too.

Assets

According to transactions seen by Dustbane Connect, the Order currently borrows many assets from certain individuals in Global Pallorin, including parts of Dust Base. Although the order has stayed quiet on this story, some members have revealed that they are often indebted to those individuals in the Global Pallorin, although they never explain how.   People also think the Order owns a share in the Ally Complex, but this hasn't been proven yet.
