Gnosis (KNOW-SIS)

Gnosis is the power to manipulate knowledge. It is abundant among the Ilikia and is a permanent power for them. Humans and humanoids can also have this power, but temporarily, since it's not in their genetics.

Effect

Users can insert new information into the world and take some info away, too. They also use this power to absorb any information they currently don't know, which can make them seem cleverer than the average person of their species.

Side/Secondary Effects

It's often easy for others to think there are no side effects to using Gnosis, but just like every power, there are plenty.

Mental Strain

Users of Gnosis can get a mental strain, as the power requires immense concentration. The user can tire out quickly, especially if they are inexperienced in the field.

Information Overload

Info Overload is another side effect that slowly gets dangerous if left untreated. It occurs when users absorb more information than the brain can handle, and the user could have a nervous breakdown if this goes on for a long time.

Manifestation

Like other powers, users can create an energy construct to manipulate the knowledge of the world. The constructs tend to be golden, but can be other colours too, depending on the user.

Source

Gnosis is a power drawn from one's genetics, but can also come from objects that have absorbed the power too. The ability is temporary for users who get Gnosis from an object, or another person.
