Geokinesis

Geokinesis is the power to manipulate earth, making it an elemental ability. The Division of Superpowered Individuals (DSI) has categorised this ability under Sector 4 of the Power Index, although the amount of earth available through rock, sand or glass has led some people to believe that geokinesis should really be under Sector 5.

Effect

The different effects of using geokinesis depend on what type of earth is being manipulated. Geokines can create rocks of any size out of boulders, mountains, rocks and ores.

Side/Secondary Effects

Geokinesis is the power to manipulate earth, meaning any planet's natural ground. However, Earth is the main example, considering the story mainly takes place on Earth. Geokines may end up altering the geography of villages, towns, cities or countries if they aren't careful with how they're using geokinesis. They might also be able to alter the natural movement of the tectonic plates or accelerate the effects of climate change due to their natural power.
On a personal level, Geokines are prone to straining their muscles due to having to be strong to manipulate their element effectively. Although Geokines have evolved to adapt to this challenge, they are still at high risk of breaking their bones or straining their muscles. They can also tire themselves out since using geokinesis can be an energy-intensive task.

Manifestation

When using geokinesis, loud cracking sounds can be heard as rocks are being moulded into their desired shape.

Geokinesis is drawn from psionic abilities, in turn existing because some humanoids have the genes that allow them to do this.

Gestures & Ritual

Geokines are required to stand steady to mimic the qualities of rock itself while manipulating this element. Although this can include being stiff, this is not advised as the user still needs to be agile enough to lift multiple rocks and move them in the desired way.
