Hellhounds
Basic Information
Anatomy
Hellhounds are dogs with dark red, black, ash grey, dark orange or dark brown fur and glowing orange, blood red, black, scarlet or dark red eyes. Hellhounds reside mostly in Lilith´s hell. They are a favorite pet of Demons, Tormentors and Onis, who are immune to their effects.
Biological Traits
Hellhounds can live indefinitely if not killed, and their personality and memories can be stored away if their physical form is destroyed (assuming the transfer is performed before death.)
Genetics and Reproduction
Hellhounds are born. A new hellhound will rise and be created from the red stone in Lilith´s Hell, when the stones are bathed long enough in lava or magma, alive and already adolescent. This happens quickly and often.
Ecology and Habitats
Hellhounds live in Lilith's Hell and, but rarely, around the Hell Islands.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Hellhounds are carnivores. They typically receive meat from their owners, or leave Lilith's Hell to hunt for some.

Hellhounds are initially vicious, destructive and wild.

Domestication
Demons, Tormentors and Onis often keep Hellhounds as pets. For anyone but a demon, tormentor or oni domesticating a hellhound is impossible. However, these three races are merciless when training in a new hound, often whipping or beating them into submission. Once the training is finished however, they cease the abuse and care for the hound as if it were any other dog.
This process is considered by many races to be foreign and downright evil. They don't understand how a hellhound bears no ill will toward its owner after suffering, but to the owner and their hound, it's simply standard practice. Attempts have been made by some Demons and Onis to train Hellhounds peacefully, but all end in severe injury and/or death. Suffice it to say, Hellhounds' initial temperament is simply violent and aggressive.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Destiny Manipulation: If an individual looks into a Hellhound's eyes three times, that person is fated to die. The method of death depends on the person. Once the Hellhound's eyes have been seen three times, the hellhound will turn and walk away before vanishing. After that, it's in the hands of Death. It should be noted that marking someone for death in the way they do is individual to the hellhound. In other words, each hellhound has its own "counter", and only looking at the same hellhound three times will mark a person.
Fire Breath: Hellhounds signature power is their immensely powerful fire breath. Their flames are hot enough to melt an entire ice mountain with one continuous blast and are able to keep their flames going for over a minute without stopping to catch their breath.
Superhuman Senses: Hellhounds have superhumanly the acute senses of sight, smell, and hearing similar to those of an actual wolf. They can also see part of the infrared spectrum thus detect heat signatures of objects or people in total darkness. Their nose can smell other living creatures within 1000 m (when upwind) and follow the scent over nearly any terrain. Their auditory system can hear the sound of heartbeats in areas of a cave at a distance of 300 m.
Life Aura: Hellhounds can sense someone's life aura.
Scorching Presence: Hellhounds have the ability to leave tiny flames in their footsteps with each step. These flames are benign and burn out rather quickly.
Teleportation: Hellhounds can cover distance very quickly, though how is not exactly known. They appear to "blur" for a second, then teleport up to ten meters away, even if they appear to be walking at a casual pace.
Sensitivity to Death: Hellhounds can sense death as it happens or when it is coming; when a person close to them dies, it comes as a ringing in the ears. In addition to that, they have a deep knowledge of the Underworld and knows when a person's life is being judged in the Underworld. Hellhounds could also sense when an immortal is fading.
Claws: Hellhounds have sharp claws that they can use to slash his enemies with lethal force.
Pain Resilience: Hellhounds are able to endure immense amounts of both physical and mental pain.
