Myvern
The Myvern was the Beast of Eternal Prudence that inhabited the forests in the Aurita region of Veilra. In appearance, it resembled a large insectile dragon with moth-like wings.
When it bestowed a blessing of primal magic upon those it found worthy, the Myvern spun the chosen individual into a silken cocoon where they spent the evening suspended from a tree, reflecting on their life choices. Come morning, the Myvern cut a slit-like opening in the cocoon, allowing the blessed to emerge into the light. If the person still desired the Myvern's blessing, they knelt at its feet and allowed the Myvern to breath upon them, completing the ritual. Should the chosen choose to walk away after emerging, the Myvern respected their decision but cast a spell causing the individual to be blinded for an entire year starting at that time.
At some point in the winter of 1984 VT, the Myvern was killed. It's decaying body was discovered in the forest by a ranger on the 22nd of Rothos. The surrounding area showed evidence of a struggle, and the Beast's throat appeared to have been cut by a large serrated blade. None have confessed to the killing
