Basic Information
Biological Traits
Ifrinn still carry several physical traits from their hellish ancestry, including horns and a spade-tipped tail. They have elongated bicuspid teeth, and their skin tones range through all the warm shades, from bright red to dark orange to warm purple and everything in between. Their eyes are a sold black with only a thin white border separating the iris and sclera. Their ears are pointed and expressive, similarly-shaped to those of sheep or goats.

Naming Traditions
In Laofe, imps did not use family names and neither did the first Ifrinn in Nohl. Nowadays, most families have adopted surnames, following the Nohlish trend.
History
In 1382 VT, an interplanar portal opened on the continent of Tirceo, temporarily connecting Nohl with the Hell plane Laofe. A little more than 3,000 imps travelled through the portal in an effort to escape the tyranny of their fiendish masters. This historical event is known as the Great Breaching.
Sent ahead as a scout, the first imp to pass through the portal was Doran. Shortly after setting foot on Tircean soil, Doran encountered a Human family watching over their flock of sheep. Using a form of creed magic, Doran attempted to alter his physical form to match the Humans' as best he could, lengthening his limbs and frame, softening his sharp features, and shedding his wings. The Human family gradually calmed enough to attempt to communicate, and Doran's first words to them in Impish (translating to 'I am a friend') are where the term 'Ifrinn' originated.
Historical Figures
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
The resident races of Nohl had difficulty adjusting to the addition of the Ifrinn to their homeland. Many superstitions abound concerning the Ifrinn, and they are often discriminated against in Veilra, and to a lesser degree, Felldin. Even though the Elves admitted that their interplanar travel is most likely what brought the War of Three Flames to Nohl, many still blame the Ifrinn since their home plane of Laofe was one of the three Hellish forces to attack.
Of the other races, the Silfan have connected most ardently with the Ifrinn, and many Silfan settled in Tirceo after the Second Breaching, integrating smoothly with the Ifrinn society already established there.
