The Plightful Plantations

The Plightful Plantations is one of the places where the dwarves of the The Borderlands of Dwarfheim send their indentured workers. It isn't to hard to become indentured while at the same time most who keep to the laws of the dwarves manage to keep themselves out of debt. Several of the punishments for transgressions in the Bordelands result in fines and repair payments to the one who suffered any loss. Many of the humans in the Bordelands find themselves in dire need of funds once or twice during their lifetime. If they are unable to manage repayment in time they might find their belongings confiscated. If the worth of their belongings don't suffice they might find themselves indentured and forced to labor.

The main plantations, where most of the imprisoned are kept is located between Southpass, Ebereks Hovel and Dwindle & Harbor. The Plantation have three larger hamlet hovels; 'Downhill Lodges', 'Mire Parting' and 'Lowland Crossroads. Not all who work the plantations are indentured and there are more plantations and fields where "free" humans lease land from dwarves to service and toil.
