Tungan Nation

The "Tungan Nation" is common name for the government of the Tungan people. Since 2180, the Federation has been at war with the Tungans. Because of difficulties communicating with the Tungans, little is known about the internal structure.

Evidence suggests that Tungans have as rich a culture as humans do.

History

The Federation became aware of the Tungan Nation when their military forces began raiding in 2180. Because of the exotic encryption that Tungans use, the Federation has never deciphered Tungan communications and know almost nothing about the nation.

Demography and Population

The Tungan nations is overwhelming Tungan. It is unknown whether the Tungan Nation has any exan citizens.

Territories

The gulf of space between the Tungan Nation and the Federation is called the Tungan Frontier. It takes over two years of FTL travel to reach Tungan space, with the nearest Tungan worlds being roughly 1,000 lightyears away. At the current rate of Federation expansion, it is estimated that Federation and Tungan borders will meet in 400 years.

Technological Level

Tungan computing is more advanced than the Federation's, given their encryption is so difficult to break. In most other respects, Tungan technology is on par.

Foreign Relations

Currently there are no known communications between the Tungan Nation and any other. The only peaceful interaction is a prisoner exchange program that started under unclear circumstances in the 23rd century.
