History

The Teth'Null were once a part of the Cthulid Intercession. They were simply larva of the Intercession which looks like a small purple larva with large mandibles and yellow eyes. Teh Cthulid use the larva to reproduce by placing them in hosts who are transformed into Cthulids. They sit in a small sack-like organ on the brainstem with a series of tendrils interlaced in the brain. One of these larva, called M'ynnich, was implanted into a Moon Elf named Arvin. M'ynnich had a genetic defect however, and could not initiate the transformation which left them stranded as equals with Arvin in her body. Over the course of a century they were reluctant roommates but over time, M'ynnich came to understand how damaging the Cthulid mission was to all humanoids. M'ynnich agreed with Alvin that there could be a different path for all Cthulids. They stole a clutch of larva who were raised  until ready for implanting, incubated until their stingers, which initiate the transformation atrophied, and then implanted into volunteers. The first generation of Teth'Null were born. They were less individual than their Cthulid cousins. The Teth'Null created their mission of consent, experiencing humanoid life and changing the destiny of their species. They found that after the death of a host they would take new hosts if the symbiote still lived. This led Teth'Nulls to live multiple lives, appearing to their next host as their previous host. They share the memories and expertise of their previous hosts with the new ones as well as giving the host psychic abilities. The trade off for the host is that they are physically more vulnerable and beholden to the Teth's mission. Teth will never take a host without consent, save for the most extreme circumstances. The Teth tend to work alone and explore the world to collect experiences while sabotaging the Cthulids who hunt them. There are Teth'Null world wide. They only congregate to defend and use the breeding pools who make new larva.

Territories

No set territory save for isolated breeding pools which are moved regularly and protected fiercely.

Military
