History
The Sovereign Peasant Commonwealth was formed after a large peasant rebellion against the Aguilan Empire. The eastern coast of the Barrier sea became a haven for rebels which was then declared an autonomous zone which created a republic-style elective government. The state is only recognized by the northern nations of the Continent. It currently is ineffective and corrupt due to its merchant politicians and two-party gridlock. Despite this, it does provide support to the E.L.F. and other rebel movements in the Anti-Heliopian bloc. It has been criticized by its allies for oppressing the Ddraci Dragonborn tribes of the south whose territory make sup half the nation.
