Ddraci Dragonborn

The unique and fearsome dragonfolk of the southern mountains of the southern edge of the continent. They are powerful, family-oriented folk who were once human according to legends but were given draconic form as a boon from the dragon god Leviathan. They have potent breath weapons and protect their tribe’s territory harshly but welcome peaceful outsiders to a certain extent. They are staunch enemies of Heliopia who tried to conquer and enslave them. While they do live mostly peacefully as vassal states to the Aguilan Empire and the Sovereign Peasant’s Republic, they do butt heads with human administrations. They are hardy, strong-willed and led mostly by woman spellcasters. Their spiritual life is built around ancestors and the dragons, who they protect especially as the numbers of the dragons are now very few. There are some who explore the greater world and mingle with other societies readily. Some have even visited the Nagas, Lizardfolk and even fewer claim to have met the Lungs far away to the east.
