History
An ancient kingdom formed peacefully through marriage alliances. Its magical guards protected the kingdom allowing it to become a peaceful bastion of art and music, producing the best bards south of Gaelland. They lived this way for many centuries until two centuries previous, raiders took advantage of the weakening military to set up bases in the kingdom. This led to constant violence, privateering, pirating, raiding, the slave trade and poverty-driven criminality. These enclaves of pirates and syndicates have become the dominant power with only small bastions of artists on the main isles. The Kingdom teters on the edge of collapse.
