Elder Beings
The Elder Beings are extra planar begins with god-like abilities who want to enter the Material Plane and spread their influence. They were shut out of the Material Plane by the Faery Courts during the Planar Wars over 15,000 years ago. They now sneak their influence in through cracks in the barrier or through their Cthulid servants or cultists. There are many Elder Beings which conflcit with one another and work together. They are not really evil but just cosmic horrors with their own agendas. The only Elder God still in the Material Plane is Wiggles, who journeys with the Main Party. There are three factions within the Elder Beings which vie for supremacy. There are the Elder Gods, Outer Gods, and the Great Old Ones. The Elder Gods are mostly eclipsed and exterminated since they attempted to keep all other Elder Beings out of the Material Plane, as the Elder Gods knew they would try to take control rather than act as real gods, like the Elder Gods wished to. Yad-Thaddag was their leader. The Outer Gods are now vassals to the Great Old Ones but secretly scheme to take control. The Great Old Ones are power-hunger and eldest of all Elder Beings. They include Cthulu, Shub-Nigguroth, Yog-Sathoth, and led by Azathoth. They also created the Cthulids who still act as their servants.
