Declaration of war on Eprus by Mervidel, both the Magi Covenant and the Human Alliance get involved
In the year 1237 AE a war broke out between the Eastern Alliance and the Magi Covenant as a result of a long standing border dispute between Mervidel and Eprus. Although there was friction between Mervidel and Eprus since the last war 123 years earlier it was not until the discovery of the ruins of Kavildor, an ancient regional capital of the Avaronian Empire, within Eprus territories in 1237 AE that the dispute began. The Magi Covenant launched a surprise attack along the western border of Eprus.
