Red Rock Castle

The "Ember King's" castle in the center of "Emberstone Isles" stands tall in the middle of the great metropolis called the "Red City". It's inhabited by people from all the five Emberstone Clans, living side by side in both the old faith Dosmír el Kýr, and the new Chosen Ones. The city and castle were both raised by the colonists from "Metrif" to be the seat from where the lords could rule the colonies, finished in "124 A.IW" during Metrif's more than 300 year occupation of the main island. When the lords left Emberstone, they handed the great city over to the clans giving them free reign over their own land. The Chieftains of the clans quickly began fighting amongst themselves over the rule of their

formidable new capital, in a series of battles known as the Collision Of The Emberkings. After more than 200 years of constant fighting and shifts in who sat the throne, the wars came to an end when the chieftains decided to let their old tradition of choosing a leader decide their King as well, the "Hjald Réss" (Fight To The Death). Since then and for close to 700 years has the unarmed fights between chieftains, after the death of a king, decided which clan should rule the Realm. At this moment "Thryll Of Marr" sits the "Red Seat", who had to kill his beloved brother in a "Hjald Réss" for the title.

The Red City

The city is split into four sections, all named after the Goddesses of the Old Faith, "Vrúnhild's Stad", "Ottkila's Stad", "Gyrd's Stad" and "Garsnýl's Stad".

"Vrúnhild's Stad" is where the great tower "Balýn" stands, still under construction and meant to someday reach "Fréll" the gods ship in the clouds.

"Ottkila's Stad" is built around the great river "Gjérr" cutting through the western side of the city. It is home to the great "Red Fleet" the grandest legion of ships to have ever sailed the seven seas of Nilaris.

"Gyrd's Stad" just south of "Gjérr" lies a part of the city built into a forest of ginormous ash trees called "Idrýs". Here many of the trees are believed older then the city itself, some with ancient carvings of animals faces, at the bottom of the trunk.

"Garsnýl's Stad" is the center of the city, where the castle stands and where the Kings very own army, "Garsjári" (Garsnýl's Warriors) resides.

The name "Red City" stems from the red granite most houses are made of, very commonly found on the islands. Furthermore is the entire city lit up by the "Emberstones" a brown-reddish crystal that when heated up will glow a feint, yet visible light from it's core for up to several years, before turning grey never to glow again.
