Mother Kraken

The Tales of Mother Kraken is one of the widest spread across the realms, though the stories sound

somewhat similar, all cultures have their own interpretation. In Kel'Ehrev they call her "Dranuk De Seavu" (Dragon Of The Sea), in Shyanin she is "Al-Díatan Derys" (Devil From The Depths) and the name "Mother Kraken" has roots in the old word "Dosmír Dráhlky" (Mother Beast) from the "Breakstone Isle's" where the stories are more prevalent then anywhere else. The legends are yet legends, for no-one has ever seen the mother and lived to tell the tale. While the sight of a regular kraken is no odd occurrence as they freely roam the "Perrowian and Western sea", they only span their arms to a mere twenty meters or so, and are no threat to ships bigger then a fishing cutter. The Mother on the other hand, are said to have tentacles long enough to reach a full grasp around the Red Rock Castle. The bigger of merchant ships and other grander vessels fear not the wake of the regular krakens, yet more than we can count gets lost to the sea without any reef, or storm in their way, not only on the Perrow Sea, just as many goes missing on the western ocean. Leading many to believe the Mother might have sisters or daughters reeking havoc in their own right, or her grasp simply being as vast as the oceans themselves.
