Hobgoblin

A part of the "Goblinoid" family of races alongside Goblins, Hobgoblin's enjoy a much greater reputation than Goblins, if for no other reason than they frighten most people.
Originating from Archin, Hobgoblin's have facial features similar to their Goblin cousins, along with the tan, redish, dark, or green skin hues, and long nails, but are very different in most other ways. While Goblin's are tiny and squat, Hobgoblin's are human sized and often muscular. While Goblins make a living in the dark places of the world attempting to hide from those that would do them harm, Hobgoblins stand in the open daring their opponents to try and face them.
Only rumors persist about the full culture of Hobgoblins, but it is told that in Archin they were at one point the leaders of an ever spreading Empire. This empire was apparently only stopped by disaster that would drive most species to extinction, but the Hobgoblins still persist and, by some rumors, thrive. They are reportedly a militaristic and honor-bound society.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Hobgoblin's are mostly found in Archin in the nation they rule alongside a contingent of their Goblin cousins. But it is said small enclaves of them can be found to the west as well in a rumored archipelago.
