The Keylsa Jungle

Over the timber blockade that marks its borders, lies the separate domain of nature. It drapes over and strangles the area between Drukh and Aplos like jade unleashed. It is the unbridled Keylsa Jungle. A place of phantasms and wonder.   At just under 750,000km², the hunting grounds, dens, and burrows of several billion feral and savage creatures reside here. Too many species exist for more than a tiny fraction can be named. But most elves need only a glance at any native creature to discern all their pertinent attributes. Other races do not get this luxury. They can see the most harmless of creatures as deadly, while also failing to recognise that the poison of a dream moss has sapped into the air around them. Needless to say, this precedent is why foreign explorers do not last long in Keylsa.   Some claim that elves are Keylsa's guardians. This is farcical; not because they do not do a exemplary job, but because Keylsa is indomitable. Instead the Elven Bloods have the opposite role, for without them, there would be a long history of juggernaut beasts breaking into other lands. Nevertheless, failings have still occurred. Elves both young and ancient still remember the Burstfang: A colossal, sentient, sadistic monster that murdered seven elves in Keylsa, before the massacre of six hundred humans in Aplos.

Geography

Three Great Lakes supply all the water Keylsa needs to thrive. And since these lakes are akin to punctures falling all the way through the continent, the exploration of their depths is impossible. The largest of these extravagant water-filled oblivians is Lake Rioria to the southwest covering 17,000km², to the southeast lies Lake Mugo at 5,200km², and finally Lake Gilona rests up to the north of them at 14,000km².
