Elves
Athletic. Agile. Sharp. Dangerous. Elves are the what so many humans dream of being. Because for a human commoner what use is intelligence over strength? The answer is no use at all. Subsequently, the jealousy is enough to lean humans into believing myths that they are the "debauched and nature severed" siblings of elves.
In reality, little is known of elvenkind at all. Every bordering nation to the Keylsa Jungle has both real accounts and exaggerated fictions relating to the wrath of the knife-eared vigilantes. Explorers foreign to Keylsa return harrowed, and invading merchants are sent back as bloody warnings for trying to profit from Life.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Being an anthropomorphic race, elves walk upright on two legs. However, they are marginally lighter than humans and they possess only the bare minimum of body fat. Additionally, due to their fast metabolisms and active lifestyles, an unhealthy elf is somewhat of an impossibility - at least in Keylsa.
Genetics and Reproduction
Elves reproduce sexually with a gestation period of seven months, but there's a catch, females are limited in many times they can reproduce. The average is a cap of three children but it's not uncommon for a woman who cannot give birth more than once to arise. This is the reason that no matter how much elves have thrived within Keylsa's vibrant blanket, their population has never truly boomed.
Growth Rate & Stages
It takes twenty years for an elf to reach adulthood. Once an adult, they are typically allowed out of their parents' sight to do as they please - though this is still at the desecration of the parents. From this point they will barely change, still looking young for all of their life ahead of them. They simply cannot die from old age because their body never grows decrepit or even inefficient.
Dietary Needs and Habits
For the most part, elves stick to a vegetarian diet of fruit and berries, this does not mean that they have any qualms eating meat: There is just far less risk of damaging the ecosystem from eating berries than killing for food.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Even without the additional benefits Life tethers can bring to the senses, elves are a cut above the other races in the affairs of seeing and hearing. Although curiously, there have very little in the way of taste, perhaps so that they can survive off bitter berries and devastatingly sour fruits.
