Afterlife

Purpose / Function

Afterlife Bar used to be for just Solo looking for work but now thanks to the new owner V. The bar has expanded into a Larger club with more then just Fixers and Solos looking for work. Now the Bar works with Big Fixers in each Part of the city to funnel information together and pull jobs that other fixers dont want to take and allows the bar to give them out.   This has led to a bouny board just outside of the afterlife doors for Edge runners to pick up jobs without needing to go through a fixer in the normal sense. The Afterlife also works with some Corp to set up jobs as well leading to more work for solos and less hassle.

Defenses

The Afterlife has been upgrade since V took over supplying the Bar with several Turrets and drone within the building along with increasing the Net Architecture

History

Early History (Time of the Red and Before) Original Location: The Afterlife began as an underground club in downtown Night City, operating during the chaotic periods before and during the Time of the Red (the 2040s–2050s).   Gentrification and Relocation: At some point after the Time of the Red, the original Afterlife location was abandoned due to rapid gentrification in the area.   Re-establishment in Watson: The legendary solo-turned-fixer Rogue Amendiares relocated the bar to southern Watson, repurposing an old morgue as the new venue—honoring its old reputation for being a “place for the dead.”   Traditions Maintained: The bar continued serving drinks named after fallen edgerunners—each a tribute to those who died gloriously in the field. This practice cemented the Afterlife’s role as a memorial and meeting place for mercs and fixers.   The 2070s High-Profile Clientele: By the 2070s, the Afterlife had become the most infamous and iconic edgerunner bar in all of Night City.   Frequented by high-street-cred mercs, fixers, and cyber-enhanced legends.   Notable regulars included Faraday and David Martinez (as seen in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners).   Exclusive Entry: Getting inside wasn’t easy—mercs had to earn their reputation or be referred by someone influential.   Brawls & Business: Bar fights were common and often intense. The Afterlife was not just a bar—it was a fixer’s hub, a place where:   Dangerous contracts were negotiated.   Tech deals were arranged.   New edgerunners were recruited into the fold.   Rogue’s Base: Rogue ran her operations out of the Afterlife, maintaining her network of mercenaries and controlling a large slice of the city’s black market fix work.
