Low Point

When the miners committed to going through the mountain range they founded Low Point in the valley on the other side.  Hoping to create a second Promise Landing they quickly built up a settlement and exaggerated their findings to the Brass Collar Consortium to get the construction of a railway through the mountain.  Low Point had an explosive growth with the rumors and construction, but it was quickly found that the resources in this valley were not as prominent as the other side.  However, the Consortium saw an opportunity and continued the construction of the railway to connect Low Point to Cardinal Crossings directly, eliminating the possibility of Primwood interfering or documenting any exports from Promise Landing.
Despite the initial growth and being a mid point of what would become a major railway connection, the prosperity of Low Point did not last.  Many of the houses have been abandoned as the the mountains held little riches and many of the prospectors and their supporters moved on.  The ones that stayed maintain the railway station and some haven't given up on , though at times it can feel more like a ghost town than a community.
