Cerberus

Cerberus, is the name of the Great Hall that leads to the Soul Gorge Caverns. Located at the top of Loma - The Red District just outside of Central - The Gold District, it is a hot-spot for Hunters across the city. Cerberus is build directly into the side of the canyon wall and stands over 100 feet tall. Its massive structure holds a large open space on the inside where dozens of Hunters gather for their turn to enter the Caverns. Inside there is a communal area where Hunters sit around and plan their decent, as well as unwind after a tough exploration. There is also a line of Teller windows who can collect any items, or Aether Crystals found within the Dungeons, and exchange it for Shimmer. Some people prefer to keep what they find and handle the transactions without a middle person, but most will prefer to unload all their findings and get paid quickly at a small handling fee.
Along one side, within Cerberus are Three Large gates 30 ft by 30 ft. Behind these gates, are large elevators able to lifting several tons, which Hunters use to descend into the Caverns. Each of the three lifts require different levels of access to be able to enter, and each leads deeper than the previous. While it is possible to navigate the Caverns on foot from the top level all the way down to the lowest level, most Hunters prefer to skip ahead using a Lift that brings them closest to their desired level of the Dungeon. The lifts only make one stop each, beyond the main floor, so there will still be some walking in order to get deeper into the Dungeon. And none of them Descend all the way down to the lowest level.

Purpose / Function

Cerberus was constructed for two purposes, to allow qualified Hunters to enter the Soul Gorge Caverns, and to keep Fiends from getting out.
