Shadows Unleashed Campaign
Sweetmeat eventually ran afoul of a group of adventurers in the days before Lothal was founded. Knowing Sweetmeat would just return to the Lower Planes and potentially come back to the Material Plane if killed, the adventurers opted to seal him within the magic sword Ghirahim, the Mage Killer. The sword was placed on an altar in the Great Sengorian Forest, corrupting the grove around it into a cursed, wicked place that the locals soon learned to avoid but keeping Sweetmeat contained. When the Headhunters came for the sword, Sweetmeat immediately began to talk to Chigiri when he broke the seal on the altar and grabbed the sword. Sweetmeat did his best to butter Chigiri up with compliments and tried to convince Chigiri to say his name and free him from the sword. Chigiri, believing Sweetmeat to be a powerful and evil fey, decided against this but falsely promised to do so later to placate Sweetmeat. With the sword away from the altar, Sweetmeat's power grew and he began to talk to the rest of the Headhunters. When they said they'd never free him, Sweetmeat tried to use magic to charm them into saying his name. After hearing about a portal to Mount Celestia, the Headhunters decided their best bet was to get Sweetmeat locked up in the Seven Heavens. The sealing magic barely held out long enough and Sweetmeat was freed in the heart of Mount Celestia, where he chose to go to jail and await trial quietly rather than start a fight he couldn't win. He is currently awaiting trial, which may take a few centuries to get going given the immortal nature of fiends and celestials. At some point after his arrest, Sweetmeat contacted Lady Kemlar and asked her to get him a lawyer.
