Mourningsteel

Mourningsteel is a magic metal made by infusing molten metal with blood taken from those who fealt agony, despair, fear, and other intense negative emotions at the time of their death and infusing it with necromantic energy. Steeped in the blood of suffering, any object forged from such metal is infused with dark powers well beyond that of mundance equipment. The exact manifestation of this power varies, depending on just what form the metal is forged into. Yet whatever form the power takes, it is almost certainly an ability that will allow whomever wields it to spread additional misery and blood.
Under the correct circumstances, its dark power can be purified to create solacesteel.
