Roxy (a.k.a. Broom)
Anadiane's sentient broom.
More akin to a person than an item, this being most assuredly has a personality of its own, even though it cannot speak.
Roxy is particularly good at shooing away cats and other small animals, cleaning hard-to-reach places since it can fly, and chasing Anadiane off to bed when she's been up too long or on one of her cleaning sprees.
When Roxy isn't chasing cats, sweeping people away, or doing whatever a sentient broom does in it's free time, it can normally be found resting against Anadiane's back.
If Anadiane is deployed on a mission of some sort, Roxy follows. Anadiane can rest easy knowing that her back is literally covered by Roxy, and the pair have avoided danger by working together on numerous occasions.
Despite their master-servant relationship, they behave more like an odd pair of friends.

Personal history
Roxy's life has been rather short. Anadiane did some strange thing with 4 vials and a cauldron. Unfortunately, she does not recall any of the ingredients, amounts, or anything really. It was more of an "Oops, i dropped the stuff in the pot... why was there a broom in there? Shit, it moved!"
Employment
Roxy is "employed" as Anadiane's assistant, broom, and combat support.
Intellectual Characteristics
It is intelligent, and can apparently read, based on its actions after observing warnings and subsequently swatting people away from dangerous areas.
It is capable of simple math as well.
The limits of its intelligence are unknown as it cannot speak and doesn't have hands.

History
Anadiane was cleaning one day and stumbled upon a cauldron and 6 vials of unknown contents. She knocked 4 of them over and into the cauldron while wishing she had an easier time cleaning and could get to higher places a bit more easily. 14 seconds, 1 bubbling cauldron, 1 puff of smoke, and 1 scream later, a broom emerged from the cauldron. Yes, there was a broom sitting in the cauldron. Nobody knows why, and nobody remembers what the contents of those vials were, but one thing we do know is that the resulting sentient flying broom started sweeping the area and seemed fiercely loyal to Anadiane. The 2 have been inseparable ever since.
